It's not your standard "People I don't know talking to each other about things I like" podcast - it's SOUNDS FROM DISNEYLAND!
For example, my current favorite episode (Episode #372) is a 70-minute HD Surround-Sound recording of a guy standing next to the speakers in the esplanade by DCA. SEVENTY MINUTES of that wonderful "OMG WE'RE ABOUT TO BE IN DISNEYLAND!!!" music, accompanied by various families walking by and chatting. This is the happiest sound in the world!
THIS IS THE PERFECT BACKGROUND NOISE!!!
And you can listen to this episode (plus several of the nearly 400 different episodes they have done) for FREE on Stitcher.com!
They also occasionally do this little audio game called "Where In The Park", where the guy (Paul Barrie, to be exact) will start at the main gate and then just record his walk to a certain destination and you have to figure out where you are just from the audibl clues. There's the train whistle... the clip-clop of the horses on main street... people around him walking and talking sound like they're going through a tunnel... melodic version of "Once Upon A Dream" mixing with pipe organ music... Pipe organ music is now louder than anything else, now fading a little bit... sound of a train coming to a stop and people getting off...
Where are we? What ride are we now in line for?
SO MUCH FUN!!!
