As promised, here are the Top 5 Things That Make Main Street USA awesome, scientifically calculated via the comments on the original post which can be found by clicking here if you don't believe me!
SEASONAL DECORATIONS! The park certainly does like to get decked out for every holiday, but Main Street is usually your first big taste of those decorations :) (btw that's my family and I at Disneyland last Halloween)
THE VIEW OF THE CASTLE! I read a beautiful bit about Main Street once about how it's laid out as a kind of Map Of Life. We start out walking down Main Street USA, everything seeming old-fashioned and familiar, yet there in the distance we can see a bright, shining fairytale castle that we're always moving towards. It's not till we get to the castle that we see there are all sorts of directions we could go - Towards a bright future? Towards a world of Adventure? To the wild, unexplored Frontiers? Or maybe you'll stay on that course you originally plotted, walking right over the drawbridge in to the worlds of Fantasy. The choice is yours :)
THE MARKET HOUSE! An exclusive assortment of coffee blends available only at Disneyland, with FREE REFILLS! We are lucky enough to have seen and experienced this soon-to-be-extinct feature of Disneyland! It'll go down in history, like The Mickey Mouse Club Circus; something that we can brag about to future generations :)
THE PARTNERS STATUE! Like being welcomed to the park by Walt himself! Going back to the whole "Map Of Life" theory, I love that Walt and Mickey are right there at the crossroads of adulthood. Every time we get there, I can hear Walt saying "Well, where are we going?"
MAIN STREET STATION/THE TRAINS/THE LILLY BELLE! Aside from the castle itself, I think the Trains must be the most iconic part of the park! And it all starts right here at Main Street Station :)
